Narberth

Welcome to Narberth U3A

We at Narberth U3A welcome you to our website, and invite you to join us. If you would like any more information, or to request an enrolment form, please email narberthu3a@gmail.com.

We meet in various locations in Narberth and in members' homes; but a few of our groups use Zoom for all or some of their meetings, as this suits the leader and members. See Our Venues for more information.

Use the Our Groups page for more information about any of our Groups, or contact us at narberthu3a@gmail.com. Prospective members are very welcome at our monthly General Meeting on the second Saturday of each month - 10:00am opening for 10:30 am start – in the Seminar Room at the Bloomfield Centre in Narberth. Come along and meet some of us. There is no obligation to join.

Now a little bit about U3A and the things we do

Firstly, don't be put off by the word 'university' as U3As are not formal educational establishments. We are an educational association of about 180 people no longer in full-time employment who range in age from the 50s upwards, and are part of the international University of the Third Age movement.

All our activities are very sociable

Groups focus on different areas of learning or development, such as history, exploring arts, languages, poetry, card & board games, writing for pleasure, fun quizzes, gardening, tai chi, walking, book groups, crosswords and occasional short-term ‘courses’. Members themselves give talks or lead groups, and the other group members often contribute - though there is usually no obligation to do so. One of our other aims is building friendships. So you don’t have to be knowledgeable about anything to enjoy the groups.

Members receive monthly diaries listing everything happening that month, and usually an email reminder of events that week, plus other relevant news.

We are part of the nationwide network of U3As

As well as the national organisation, there is a Welsh regional website where you can find out what is happening in U3As all over Wales. If you want to know more about the U3A ethos, click here.
